With all the controversy surrounding Stephanice Rice’s “raunghy” facebook photos, you would think that a normal 19 year-old girl doesn’t party and doesn’t have fun.  So, what, we’re not allowed to have fun?  Apparently the pictures were too “raunchy” for Australian swimming.  Give her a break.  In fact, give us ALL a break!  Lets sit back and see this girl shine in all her glory.

Libby Trickett takes another Gold medal for Australia

Libby Trickett has taken another Gold for Australia in the women’s 100m butterfly.  This is also a personal best for Libby; she did it in 56.73 seconds.  Jessica Schipper came third with a time of 57.25 seconds.  Her chances were almost ruined by a broken zip on her LZR Racer suit.  This was quite unfortunate, but she pushed on in great style as role models do.

Stephanie Rice is hot in the pool AND out

 

Stephanie Rice is hot in the pool and out – that’s right, hot hot hot.  Today, Stephanie broke the world record (previously held by American swimmer Katie Hoff) and won Australia’s first Gold medal in the 400m individual medley.  Her time was 4 minutes 29.45 seconds.  She really is Australia’s golden girl, beautiful AND athletic.

These are women from the Brazilian women’s soccer team.  in 2002, they “posed” for the Brazilian Playboy.  This shot is rather steamy for ‘athletes’ isn’t it?  Maybe a little too steamy on the eye.  What, is this for sport?  To create…er, publicity for sport, perhaps??  I’m not sure.  Either way, this is one VERY HOT shot.

1984:  a tussle between US track sweetheart Mary Decker and Britain’s Zola Budd (barefoot). During the 3000 metre event they were shoving each other and Decker fell to the ground.  Budd was booed very loudly by the audience and as a consequence, she lost her composure and finished 7th.  Picture on the right shows Decker with an injury as a result of the fall.  She was unable to finish the race.
